September 2014 - TSG receive the Sainsbury's School Games Gold Kitemark award.
Last year Toddington St George was proud the receive the the Sainsbury's School Games Bronze award, however this year we wanted to do better. We worked hard at our PE and Sports and in September we was rewarded with the prestigious Gold Kitemark.
Once again we want to say a big well done to Mrs Scott for all her hard work.
Toddington St George has had a clear focus on developing our RE curriculum since a new curriculum was agreed by SACRE in 2012. WE have also been busy enhancing the quality of our Collective Worship times and our Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural work with our children.
This focus enabled the school to gain an Outstanding grading from SIAMS under their new inspection criteria in July 2013. To then build on this further we developed the RE curriculum this academic year and applied for the Silver RE Quality Mark. As a pilot school for this new award we were supported to apply by our local Diocese and the Local authority.
Mrs Collins (Deputy Headteacher) led this work very effectively and the assessor awarded the school the Silver Mark on Friday 31st January 2014.
Please read our RE Newsletters to find out more about the super ways children have been learning more about faith, religious beliefs and practises, view Year 4 ‘s faith tour photographs or enjoy a short film of Collective Worship in school.
2018 SIAM (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) assessed TSG as "Outstanding"
The report states " Strong Leadership and a series of new RE and worship have revitalised the spiritual life of this successful school. All members of staff provide exceptional pastoral care and a curriculum that utilises the schools christian foundation to meet the needs of all children in their care. Pupils are enriched by this experience and are constantly inspired to learn and to show compassion and respect for other children of God."

The assessor said " It was excellent to see such knowledge and enthusiasm from so many children. It is clear that the Eco-School programme has been fully embedded into the culture and fabric of the school and it is great to see so much support from teaching staff, assistants and site leadership." ................ Well Done Mrs Clough and the Eco Team

We were evaluated across the whole range of school activities to assess the health and well being provision across the whole school community, achieving the biennial award assessment and renewing the Bedfordshire Healthy Schools award previously gained in April 2011 and 2013
In 2012 we received the British Council's prestigious International Schools Gold Medal Award
