We have raised over £5000 for our environment project! THANK YOU!

With the support of sponsors, local businesses and the PTA we have reached the £5000 mark and we are nearly at the half way point.

The children in Ducklings have made some lovely thank you cards that we have been sending out

Why we need your support

At Toddington St. George, our children’s wellbeing, academic and creative success, is the driver, in everything that we do. As a school, we have always achieved this through investing in our most valuable resources, our staff. Now more than ever, this approach is very much needed to ensure our children’s needs are met, after experiencing such disruption to their school and home lives.

It will come as no surprise that school budgets are continually restricted and tightened year on year. Unfortunately lockdown has also impacted on  St. George’s income as we have not been able to open for lettings or hold our annual PTA fundraising events. In addition, we have actually  incurred additional costs, which have been required to cover staffing and  increased cleaning measures.

As a result, we have not been able to set aside the finances needed to develop our school environment, to ensure that  our school  reflects a high-quality, purposeful, well resourced classroom, in 2021. Whilst this is our reality, we are determined to find alternative ways to ensure we are able to develop this for our wonderful children, and so, we would like to share with you, our Environment 2021 Fundraising Project.

What we would like to do

  • Replace our very well used, tired classroom furniture. Some desks and chairs have been damaged over time. Some pieces of the original furniture are cumbersome and take up a large amount of space, in what are already small classroom spaces.
  • Decorate every classroom, with a fresh calm, neutral colour.
  • Update our ICT resources, so that we can embed google classroom as part of our curriculum offer.
